#LightUpTheDarkness is a photo series inspired by all the black squares that appeared after the 2016 election. That, combined with interactions I had with people immediately after the election who felt their rights were in jeopardy by this administration. I invited people to my studio and took portraits to shine light on their stories. It’s also my experience that creativity and action is the cure for darkness and helplessness. Resource Magazine was kind enough to do a story on the series which you can see here. You can also read their individual stories in the comments on Instagram here.
